The Dataset
The verified-sales dataset
533 Porsche 996 auction sales, verified by hand, hammer prices only. This page describes what the data is, where it comes from, and how to use it.

Sales span 2017 to 2026, covering all nine 996 variants: Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa, Turbo, Turbo S, GT3, and GT2. Every row records the hammer price, sale date, model year, variant, mileage, body, transmission, color, and a link to the auction listing; the VIN is recorded wherever the listing publishes it (371 sales and counting).
Sample download
The 25 most recent verified sales, as a CSV: sample-sales.csv. The sample is free to use with attribution to 996Value.com. The full dataset is curated continuously and is not published as a bulk file; researchers and journalists can ask — data requests with a clear purpose are usually granted.
A companion dataset: asking prices
Weekly snapshots of live 996 asking listings (PCA Mart, Rennlist) are kept in a separate, clearly labeled dataset used for the ask-to-hammer spread and days-on-market analysis. Asking data is never merged into sold-price figures. Method: how we value a 996.
Terms for the sample
