How the Index works

Each edition covers one calendar month of verified sales from the 533-sale dataset behind this site (437 of them inside the valuation bands). An edition reports the month's sale count, median hammer, total hammer, the biggest sales, and the model-by-model split — and says plainly when a month's coverage is partial or a cell is too thin to read. Editions are frozen once complete; a partial-month edition is labeled as one and updated at month-end.
